"Pissy Baby" is a collection of poetry by sara sutterlin, founding editor of Leste.Magazine. The design of the zine is very straightforward—black and white text in boxes and a few illustrations by Barbora Togel (including the cover). Sutterlin's poetry is the kind of writing that doesn't follow "the rules" which means TITLES IN ALL CAPS and lowercase "i"s and stream of consciousness and run on sentences and boyfriends and dairy queen and cum and overheating macbooks and yes. I love the honesty of it. There are snippets of conversations, parentheticals, and general weirdness. I was also pleased to see a reference to Hyvee, an All-American Grocery Store that I have only recently encountered upon moving to the midwest. This is a zine that will make you think about poetry differently—in a good way.
